I cannot believe March has already come and gone. The first week of April is now behind us and I’m trying to figure out what I’ve done with my life to make it count this week? Last month? Hmmm another story it seems! BUT, I do know I want to share a few awesome finds from March – most of them beauty related and one of them not, but it’s been good for my sanity.
Let’s get the main one out :
#1 – the Swiffer Sweep & Vac. YES. This has changed my life. I have three dogs and our newest addition is a mastiff and sheds little short black hairs everywhere. It was making me CRAZY (my other two dogs don’t shed much, if at all). But I found sanity…this little thing sucks up all sorts of little things (including hair) and what the vacuum misses, the cloth acts like a magnet and attracts the rest. It’s super affordable at 49.99 (Target) and it’s a few bucks cheaper at Amazon.
Now on to the fun stuff:
#2 – Tarte Special Edition Magic Wands makeup brushes…they are just too pretty and I couldn’t pass them up! They were $39 online and not eligible for a discount. I swear even if I don’t use them it’s enough for me to just have them sitting on my vanity to look at. They look like glorious unicorn horns…
#3 – Tarte Shape Tape…I think I’m behind the crowd in finding this, but this concealer is EVERYTHING. It’s full coverage without looking too heavy. I have fine lines and this doesn’t seem to settle in them, especially when I set with my powder. With my dark spots (insert sad face here) I need something that has great coverage. A little goes a long way and for $24 it’s become a staple in my every day makeup.
#4 – Milani Conceal & Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation. AMAZING. Medium to full coverage, beautiful color, buildable, I already said it – amazing. I’ve never been a drugstore foundation kind of girl but I wanted to try this (I think it was $10 at Walgreens) and I’m so happy I did! Long wearing, stays pretty, makes me feel confident.
#5 – Derma-E Hydrating Scrub…my skin thanks Sprouts for carrying this! I was browsing the aisles just dying to spend money and it caught my attention. I have dry skin and fine lines (gotta love living in the desert AND getting older) so when I saw ‘hydrating’, sold! I enjoy the gentle scrub and the texture is thick and rinses easily. My skin definitely feels great after using it, and I can tell it’s hydrating.
I bought other stuff too – but nothing that’s really knocked my socks off. I should however create a “Don’t Buy” post with the ‘junk’ that I feel like I wasted my money on. That could be a quarterly thing maybe…
What did you find in March that you can’t live without? Or maybe it’s a staple of yours no matter the month?
